How did you start working with Accredit?

I worked in the UK for 5 years with Tom Standley & Tom Vine in the events industry. After returning to Australia, I received a call from Tom Vine who said he had a fantastic opportunity for me to grow Accredit Solutions across APAC. Once both Toms showed me the product, I was convinced Accredit’s product was a perfect solution and that the timing with COVID-19 pushing a digital-first strategy within organisations was an opportunity I couldn’t turn down.

What does your role entail at Accredit?

Growing Accredit’s customer base across APAC and ensuring everyone in the accreditation space has heard about Accredit.

Tell us something interesting about yourself?

I love to travel and was lucky enough to visit 41 countries before my 25th birthday, having only visited my second country not long before my 20th birthday.

What are your biggest personal or professional achievements?

Moving to a new country on the other side of the world by myself at the age of 19 and sticking it out for almost 6 years through many ups and downs.

If you could change something from your past what would it be?

Nothing, I believe that there is always a lesson which can be taken from the past.

Who is the person you admire the most and why?

My parents. They taught me to live by strong values which are important to me. They also taught me to follow my heart and how to look after myself from a young age.

How would your friends describe you?

Outgoing, friendly, positive, adventurous & empathetic.

How do you think the accreditation process for events will evolve in the coming year?

As COVID-19 has pushed many organisations to prioritise a digital-first strategy, accreditation software will become more and more important in automating organisations’ approaches to accreditation. Ultimately saving them time and money while providing better security and control.

What is your favourite functionality aspect of the Accredit platform?

Accredit’s end-to-end solution from data entry, collection and management all the way to printing. Having worked in the events industry for 7 years, I have seen how painful it can be to manually manage data and use multiple suppliers to do so.

If you could spend 5 minutes with any person alive or dead who would it be and why?

Elon Musk. I think he would be fascinating to listen to as he is one of the most innovative people in the modern era.
