How did you start working with Accredit?

I’m a friend of Nicholas Graham’s and after chatting to Nick over a few drinks we began speaking about a potential role for me to slot into. Accreditation isn’t something I had much experience in, however, having worked in technical support software for a number of years the opportunity was too good to miss. I started working at Accredit 2 months later and haven’t looked back.

What does your role entail at Accredit?

I work on the Client Services team dealing with any queries from our clients as well as building new client systems. I occasionally attend on-site events to see how they work behind the scenes.

Tell us something interesting about yourself?

I have a unhealthy addiction to Nando’s, but I’m a golfer in my spare time. I’m working on my handicap with the goal to beat my brother 1 day. He’s been playing for around 15 years.

What your biggest personal or professional achievements?

• Personal – Going unbeaten in my 5-a-side football league
• Professional – From starting out working at 16 as an Office Junior to building up to where I am today is something I’m proud of.

If you could change something from your past what would it be?

Start my career at Accredit sooner!

Who is the person you admire the most and why?

My Brother, Duane. – Starting an Accounting Software business from nothing to then turning it into a massive success is something I’ll always admire and be proud of.

How would your friends describe you?

I hope they would describe me as someone who is a great Dad and the best at FIFA.

How do you think the accreditation process for events will evolve in the coming year?

I can see paper-less accreditation to become a lot more prominent with Accredit being the forefront. The whole biometrics with retina detection or face ID is fascinating, unless that’s too Futurama?

What the most interesting project you have worked on in your time at Accredit?

Interesting to me is seeing how our clients use the system to meet their needs, how one client uses a certain feature of the system compared to another client can be different. It’s a great example of how flexible the platform is and it keeps me on my toes when answering questions and/or building systems.

What is your favourite functionality aspect of the Accredit platform?

I’m a big fan of the badge templates (mainly because I’m quite good at it!) I like taking something from a basic design to looking like a professional event day badge.

If you could spend 5 minutes with any person alive or dead who would it be and why?

Tough one between Muhammad Ali for the mental strength, guidance, and wisdom. Then on the other end of the scale – Sean Lock. A very funny comedian who would be one of my 5 “dinner guests”
