Large sporting events and tournaments present organisers with even greater challenges when it comes to event accreditation. Not only do they need to secure multiple venues but they need to manage the operational requirements for the tournament/event specific requirements vs the business as usual process. With this comes the associated matches and games being delivered at each location and the duration of operational days in the exclusive use period.
The accreditation system must therefore be able to work across multiple venues consistently, defining access rights for each operational role including athletes, operational staff, media and broadcast representatives and contractors. In addition, ensuring where necessary the requirement for enhanced security vetting and entry visa requirements by police or government agencies is applied and delivered efficiently.
Accredit not only offers multi-venue capabilities but also allows organisers to define levels of security and access by Event, Organisation, individual role or user group level. Accredit offers the ability to apply rules by exception to a group that does not affect the rest of the operations. Security vetting for contractors but not athletes for example.
The ability to accredit persons for all or part of the tournament is a must, this can be by region or the stage of the event i.e.: warmups, group stages, qualifying rounds or finals.
This is further enhanced by Accredits real-time access control capabilities, with the ability to set date and time parameters for venues and accreditation zones that are internal and/or external spaces. The access control features a mobile app to allow control for venues that may not have an existing access control infrastructure in place.
